Mr. Ronald George Proctor, of Worsley Alberta, passed away on Thursday February 23, 2017 unexpectedly at the Fairview Hospital at the age of 75 years old.
Ron was born to parents Melvin (Buck) Proctor & Aileen Kerr on November 13,1941 in the town of Fairview Alberta. He grew up being the brother to his sisters Sharon & Gail and his brother Gary who passed away at an early age. Ron went on to open Auto Businesses in Stavely, Alberta and Calgary Alberta for numerous years. It was in Calgary he met Linda and later married on May 28, 1994. Ron’s heart had always been with the north country and later returned with Linda moving to Worsley, Alberta in 1995. It is there they established themselves within the community and opened his business Ron’s Auto. Throughout the years, Ron has touched so many peoples lifes, whether it was by extending a helping hand in a time of need or by sitting down and listening to the many stories that he accumulated throughout the years. Ron’s presence will be greatly missed but all his family and friends will find comfort in the memories and stories of their own that he has left with them.
Ron survived by his wife Linda Proctor (Corneau). His son Gary (Shelly) Proctor; His daughters Zelda and Dianna Proctor; Step children Philip (Karin) Corneau, Adam (Lisa) Corneau, and Paul Corneau; Sisters Sharon (Nick) Cowels and Gail (Bob) Williamson along with numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Melvin (Buck) Proctor and Alieen Kerr, his brother Gary Proctor and his Grandson Stephen Proctor.
At Ron’s request, no service will be held. Ron will be laid to rest next to his Dad and Brother at Waterhole Cemetery in Fairview, Alberta. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family is grateful for everyone’s condolences during this difficult time and request any donations wanting to be made can be to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society.
