Obituary For Aaron Sichewski

With unbearable sadness we announce Aaron’s unexpected passing June 24, 2021. He was born in Grande Prairie August 20, 1994, to Tanis and Gerry.

Aaron enjoyed sports, loved to draw, and sing, music was very important to him. He even wrote a few lyrics. Aaron made friends easily and would willingly give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

Aaron played soccer, football, loved roller blading, riding motorbikes, skate boarding, skating, playing shinny hockey, snowboarding and snowmobiling. Aaron earned his open water diving ticket when he was in high school. He also loved fishing, hiking and camping, although his favourite activity of all was video gaming with multitudes of friends from around the world. He also watched Anime and collected many, many of the figurines.

Aaron enjoyed travelling and travelled a lot, to the 95th Anniversary at Vimy Ridge with the Grande Prairie Army Cadets, Ontario and Quebec with his French class and New York City for a Jazz Music Festival; where they won the Gold for their category, a trip to Cuba, and cruising to Alaska and LA. And the road trips, all over Alberta, BC and the Western US. He was happy when he was travelling.

Aaron is survived by his mom and dad; Tanis and Gerry,; brother Owen; Aunt Patty and partner Jason; cousins Kevin and Eric; and Uncle Scott, Aunt Kate; cousins Lilly and Diana, Uncle Shawn and Aunt Karla, cousin Jessica; Uncle Dale and Aunt Char, cousins Cassandra and Calin; Uncle Doug and Aunt Chrissy, cousins Andrew, Michael, Catherine and Curtis, Uncle Dwayne, cousin Kloie; Aunt Donna and Uncle Shawn, cousins Allistair, Sierra, Serenity and Axel; Uncle Dennis and Aunt Dana, cousins Dreyke and Kenyen; step Grandma Vivian, and special friends Donald, Divaa and Dana, as well as so many other extended family and friends.

Aaron was predeceased by his Uncle Darryl, Grandma Helen, Grandpa George, Grandpa Steve and Grandma Florence.

  • Aaron was one of my best friends back in high school. We also had worked together at Canadian Tire; he made working there a whole lot more fun. Always had me laughing; being the only person there for me during my darkest years, and me being there for him too. I remember escorting him for his high school graduation. That was a great night! We unfortunately grew apart as we got older but I loved him very much, and I still do. He will always have a special spot in my heart. I miss him, and I cannot believe that he's gone. When I first found out I was in utter disbelief and shocked. My heart is broken, and the tears keep on shedding. I would like to give condolences to his family and friends. Much love and prayers <3

Rest east fam much love ❤️ Gonna miss your ridiculous comments on my stuff and random jokes forever man you were a blessing to have as a friend!

  • I've known Aaron since kindergarten... We were in the same class almost every single year. I always remember class pictures, we were two of the shortest people and would always be in the front of the line together. We grew apart over the years, but he was always such a kind person. He was always fun, and would always make me laugh. I remember many teachers calling him the class clown, because he just made everything light and fun. I was deeply sad to hear of his passing and my condolences are with his family. I hope you rest in peace Aaron, and know you will be missed by many! Kaylee

  • Aaron? What an awesome nerd he was. Im so glad we were able to reconnect and be on good terms. He introduced me to a lot of really good music and anime. We used to play video games for HOURS and talk all the time, years ago. He truly understood my old "emo kid" music taste LOL. I'll miss him. I wish I knew how little time I had with him in my life, I always imagined we would even better friends again one day, like we used to be. But he will not be forgotten by me. Rock out for me in heaven. I'll always think of you when I listen to all the music you showed me, especially your favorite band, A Skylit Drive. Miss you a lot already.

  • Gonna miss all the long drives, the road trip karaoke, and the long nights grinding League of Legends with you. i love you. my best friend, my brother. Until we meet again.

  • Tanis, Gerry and Owen, I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. My heart goes out to you. I can't even begin to imagine the pain you are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If you need an ear I am here.

  • I went to school with Aaron since kindergarten so we know each other from a long way back. Aaron is a friendly, happy individual. We reconnected when we played sports such as basketball and paintballing with friends a few years ago. I looked back on our memories on Facebook and I saw a picture I snapped of us during graduation, it made me think of the good ol days we had at school. I will miss you a lot. May you rest in peace my friend. I offer my condolences to the Sichewski family.

  • Our sincere condolences to Tanis, Gerry and Owen. Pat and Gail Coristine
