Obituary For Albert Patrick Rupert

Albert Patrick Rupert, age 64, passed away peacefully on June 27th 2021, at his home in Clairmont, AB. He was born on May 8, 1957 in Wetaskiwin, AB to Lauri and Wilf Rupert. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Pamela Rupert, along with their six children Annette (Scott), Lacey (Rob), Sherisse (Justin), Ashley (Nick), Tyler (Shelby) and Falyn, his mother Lauri Rupert; his brother, Clint; his brother in-laws, Kelly and Wayne. He is predeceased by his father, Wilf Rupert and his brother Stacey. He was a proud grandfather to Tyler, Paisley, Olivia, Molly, Kingston, Layla, Kennedy, Cruz, Maverick and Emmett.

Albert was a devoted family man and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed curling, fishing, hunting, quadding, camping, golfing and snowmobiling. Road trips with Pam were a big part of his life, they travelled everywhere from Alaska down to Mexico, but he loved nothing more than spending time in Las Vegas. Albert was arguably the biggest fan of the Calgary Flames and Stampeders, he had enough memorabilia to prove it.

Albert grew up in Edson, moved to Hay River to raise his family, then moved to Grande Prairie where he settled and married Pam in 1998. He worked in the oil field and earned his well deserved retirement on June 30, 2014. Albert will be missed for his cheesy jokes, his off the wall ring tones, and his flashy attire.

Nothing made him happier than seeing his kids succeed and grandchildren happy. He will be missed immensely by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

An open house style celebration of life will be held at
Bear Creek Funeral Home 11802 99 Ave Grande Prairie on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 12 to 4pm with a short program at 1:30.

It is far to soon for Albert to go, however just knowing that God is in control and he knows what is best for us all. With saying that it is never easy to lose a loved one so I am sending my condolences to Pam and all Albert's loved ones. Albert was one of many of my nephews, but somewhere along the line he was very special to me. Albert and I were born the same year, even though I am his auntie. His Grandma (my mom) and his mom (my sister) were pregnant at the same time. I also stood up for him at his wedding (1st). He really was a comical person and I always enjoyed his company. He will be missed by many. So sorry for your loss - Pam and family.

Pam I am truly saddened to read about Albert's passing. I enjoyed visiting with him when he came into the clinic, I especially enjoyed seeing what shirt he was going to be wearing! When Albert found out that I golfed , he would gift me different golf accessories. He will be missed by a lot of people. Tracy Burgess @ the clinic.

With heartfelt sympathy we mourn for the families loss. We will miss seeing Albert at Tyler and Shelby's and sad the boys won't get to know his personality. Kind, fun and full of trivial information, Albert could talk to anyone. We certainly enjoyed having you both in Mexico for the wedding and introducing us to cocoanut icecream and your hippy costumes. Remembered with a smile, Bonnie & Roger Marcil
