Your mom has been a friend to many of my family for as long as I can remember. She was a very special friend to my cousin Elevina Peterson and her family. I would see Barb off and on over the years at different functions and always had a great chat with her. Barb also boarded my daughter, Penny Chapman, while she attended college in Grande Prairie many years ago. I consider Barbara a life long family friend and she will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved her. Dawn Chapman (nee Peterson)

So sorry Vicky and Freida for your loss. I've thought of Barb many times over the years, wondering if she still lived in GP. She worked with my mom, Eileen Hodges and myself Rosemarie Crerar at Pourhouse Ceramics. I've always thought fondly of her. The word "scallywags" brings a memory of when I'd bring my daughter to work and she'd say "you little scallywag". Loved her quiet presence, she'll be sadly missed. Rosemarie Crerar

My condolences to Vicky and the rest of Barb's family. She was such a good friend to mom. Always checking up on her and if she couldn't get ahold of mom she'd be calling me to make sure everyone was okay. She always made me smile and I think that's a great gift she had- letting others know she cared. I hope she knew how much she was cared for as well.
