Obituary For Bernadette Lee Ferguson "Tweedy"
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernadette Lee Ferguson. After a long illness, Tweedy passed away at the Grande Prairie Care Centre with family by her side.
Tweedy was born in Edmonton, Alberta but lived mainly in Grande Prairie throughout her adult life. She later moved to Edmonton. Tweedy attended culinary school at Fairview College. She cultivated her skills and worked continuously in the culinary field throughout her life. She was a generous soul and loved a good laugh.
Tweedy is survived by her daughter Cordena (Jason) Crick, her grandson Austin McKechnie, her sister Mayann (Andre) Ritchie as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
She is pre-deceased by her mother Irene McDonald, her father Lloyd Chalifoux, her stepfather Malcolm McDonald, her brothers Clayton McDonald and Darrell McDonald, her sister Wendy McDonald, her nephew Chad McDonald and her niece Lisa McDonald.
On Thursday March 31, 2022, a viewing will be held from 12pm until 2pm with Tweedy’s funeral service beginning at 2pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home (11802 99 Avenue in Grande Prairie, AB).
