Obituary For Curtis Grant Long

July 8, 1980 – August 18, 2022

Curtis passed away at the age of 42 on August 18, 2022. He will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Curtis was a kind, loving and forgiving young man that never held a grudge and always accepted people as they were. He had a keen sense of humour and all he wanted in life was to be accepted, included, and loved for who he was. He collected and kept everything he was ever given or bought. Treasures! His daily regime was going for a bus ride, coffee and going to the mall, and visiting many stores. His days were full, and his life was happy.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather, Bob and Wanda Sneddon, his father and stepmother Milo and Denise Long, his brother Deven Long and nephew Isaiah Long, as well as the Jeffares family, aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends and family friends and staff all who were a part of his family.

Curtis was predeceased by his brother Calvin, grandparents Doris and Everett Mitchell, and grandparents John and Olive Long.

A Celebration of Life for Curtis will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at 2pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home, 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie.

Wanda, I just read this notice today Jan 11/23 and was sad and shocked. It has been many moons since We have seen Curtis but Darrel and I (and many of my friends) have such treasured memories of all the times we had him stay with us when he was younger.... Such fun and crazy weekends ...... rubber boots and all. Sending our sincere condolences and hugs, Wendy and Darrel Sundholm xox

Curtis was a special young man that truly cared about others. He was quick to remind me that I should make contact with people I had not talked to for quite some time. He called me a minimum of 4 times a day for various reasons....I so miss those calls, that smile and his giggles. God gifted us with Curtis and I will be forever great fun to have had him for a son. Rest In Peace my beautiful son.❤️

Rest in peace Curtis, you will be missed so, so much. You were always such a bright light in everyones lives. I'm sorry I haven't been able to tell Matt Man yet, it will be devastating for him. You were best friends for 35+ years and he always had a memory of you that he would share with us. He looked forward to his chats with you and would tell us all about your talk. I'm glad we got to talk as well just awhile ago. You will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Dali and I will miss Curtis. We often saw Curtis while out for a walk in the neighbourhood. He was a very friendly fellow who always stopped to say Hi and to have a little chat. Please accept my condolences for you loss.
