May 17, 1955 – May 22, 2022Daniel Gordon Veldhuis, resident of Hythe, AB, passed away on Sunday, May 22, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 67 years. Danny was born on May 17, 1955, to Edith and Albertus Veldhuis in Hythe, AB.Danny was a sports fanatic, especially when it came to the Oilers. He also enjoyed and spent many hours playing crib at the home with his sisters Theresa, Edith, Vera, and Esther.His children Nicole and Cory, and his grandchildren Carter, Ethan and Aubree were his pride and joy.Danny is survived by his children Nicole (Larry Ridley) Veldhuis, Cory Veldhuis, and his grandchildren, Carter, Ethan, and Aubree. He is also survived by his 11 siblings: Eunice (Jim) McKinnon, Vera Hogg, Robert (Marlene) Veldhuis, Bud (Kathy) Veldhuis, Bill (Ruth) Veldhuis, Esther Johnstone, Pat (Bob) Calkins, Edith Veldhuis, Ruth Veldhuis-Wierenga, Richard (Denise Dalziel) Veldhuis, and Theresa Wills.
