We would like to send our deepest condolences to Mavis and the Breitkreutz family. I enjoyed working with Darrell at the concrete plant , he always had such a positive attitude. We liked running into him he always had good stories to tell. He will be missed Wes & Cindy

I have many memories of Darrell over the years. He fondly called my parents mom and dad and myself, he called 'Sis'. He will be missed.

So sorry for your loss of a husband, brother, son and friend. I'm sure his death was a most difficult one to witness. ALS is a cruel disease. We will always remember Darrell as a positive and happy guy that always had a smile and an eager "Hello" when he saw us. Our thoughts and prayers to you all.

Truly sorry for your loss. I didn't know my cousin well because I left home early and moved away, but whenever we did connect he always a smile on his face a joke ready to tell.

I'm so sorry for your loss Mavis and family. As you know he was one of my favourite people when I was a kid. He always knew how to make my day a little brighter, even when you didn't know you needed it. He was a wonderful person.

I am so sorry for your loss. I find myself to be such a lucky person to have known Darrell all through high school and beyond. He was always kind and friendly, a good person right to the core. Cherish your memories.

My deepest condolences. I have many many memories of Darrell, but one I shall never forget, is the following. We had had snow and wind and our driveway had drifts in it. I got stuck in my mini van about half way down the driveway and was shoveling my way out when Darrell was driving by, stopped, drove in the drive, jumped out of his truck shovel in hand told me to move and proceeded to shovel me out. When I protested that I would be okay and he didn't need to shovel, he just gave me a "look", and kept on shoveling. When he had the drift shoveled away, I thanked him and all he said was "that's what are neighbors are for", jumped in his truck and left. That was Darrell!
