Obituary For Dianne Mary King (Hawley)

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Dianne at her home in Grande Prairie.

Dianne was a proud Newfoundlander who loved a scuff and a good story. She was a determined, resourceful, spitfire of a woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her laughter and energy brought joy to so many people. She was known for her dedication to both her work, and all the colleagues she called friends.

Left to mourn her loss are her daughter Christine, son Jason, granddaughter Grace, several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous cherished friends.

She is predeceased by her brother Roger, as well as her mother and father Jack and Gertrude Hawley.

In keeping with Dianne’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or service.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation (childrenswish.org) or the Mental Health Association (cmha.ca).
