Obituary For Edward Stanley Kaczkielo

August 27, 1938 – January 16, 2023

Edward Stanley Kaczkielo, life long resident of Sexsmith, passed away on January 16, 2023 at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 84 years, with his loving family by his side.

Ed leaves to mourn Gail(O'Rourke), his precious wife of 61 years, his daughters; Terri Lowe (Keith), Karen Kaczkielo (David), Carmen Sakundiak (Rick); grandchildren Angela Weiler (Lorne), Steven Krol (Lara), Brenton Krol (Ashley), Laura Marchant (Tom), Jennifer Kreller (Ryan), Jocelyn Chayeski (Curtis), Joel Beaulieu (Tara), Nicole Eherer (Jesse), Kristin Sakundiak (Andre), Carson Sakundiak ( Emily), Derrick Sakundiak (Anna), Bradley Sakundiak (Ashley), and Taylor Sakundiak (Dylan); 20 great grandchildren; sisters Jean Shmorong, and Mary Vavrek (John), Helen DeBlois; sisters-in-law Diann Kaczkielo, Betty Lou Lynch-Noonan(Vince,) and Elaine O'Rourke. Ed is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Ed was predeceased by his parents Julian and Martha Kaczkielo, Gail’s parents Louis and Ruby O’Rourke, his twin brother, Andy, infant daughter, Angela, great grandson Avery, a sister-in-law and several brothers-in-law as well as numerous relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Sexsmith at 1pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Interment will follow at the Webster Cemetery with a luncheon back at the church hall following.

The Kaczkielo family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Grande Prairie Care Centre, Unit 23 staff at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital and to the special doctors and clergy who tended to Ed during his illness

Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
