May 22, 1937 – September 15, 2023

Elizabeth Margaret Kitsch (Marge), resident of the Grande Prairie Care Centre, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.

Marge was born near Dunelm, Saskatchewan, to Henry and Helena Dyck. She was raised on the farm with 2 brothers and 7 sisters. She attended school in Amphion, 2 miles East of the farm.

Marge was a quiet woman with a soft smile. She was kind and easy to talk to. Marge loved to take pictures and always had a camera in her hand. She started her working life in Swift Current as a dishwasher at a local restaurant. From then on, she travelled and worked across Canada including Keewatin, Ont., Winnipeg, Swift Current, Chilliwack, Vancouver, and Edmonton, before finally landing in Grande Prairie, Alberta, where she spent most of her adult life. She continued to visit with her sisters who were scattered across western Canada, including travelling to BC to go gold panning, to Swift Current, SK, for the watermelon and rollkuchen festival, and to Keewatin to visit with her favorite sister Agnes and her family. Marge enjoyed the outdoors, camping with her truck and camper, and moose hunting.

Marge was predeceased by her special friend Albert Green, her brother Pete in infancy, brother Henry, parents Henry & Helena Dyck, her sisters Helen (Bill) Dyck, Anne (Art) Dick, Mary (Allan) Krause, and Eileen (Roland) Adams. She is survived by her sisters Eva (Hank) Dyck, Agnes (Jim) Ladoucer, Marlene and her brother Lawrence (Phyllis), and many nieces & nephews.

The family is very grateful for the wonderful care Marge received at the Grande Prairie Care Center, where she spent the last 8 years. She will be laid to rest in the Grande Prairie Cemetery.

No service plans have been made at this time.

Arrangements and care were entrusted to Bear Creek Funeral Home in Grande Prairie bcfh.com 780 830-7742
