July 7, 1948 – March 5, 2023

John Kenney passed away on March 5, 2023 at the age of 74 years.

John enjoyed playing bridge and chess and had his favorite sports teams; the Toronto Blue Jays, the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

He attended St. FX University in Nova Scotia and was now retired.

John was divorced from his ex-wife, Beverley Dorothy Kenney and is survived by his daughter Allison Kenny (grandchildren Ashlynn Gillespie, Chloe Gillespie, Hayden Gillespie and Rhys O’Neil), his sisters Maureen Kenney and Pat Kenney, Anne and Sharon and a brother Kevin Kenney.

He was predeceased by his mother Catherine Kenney, father James Kenney and his sister Barb MacPherson.

There will be a viewing for John on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 at 6pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home 11802 99 Avenue Grande Prairie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
