Obituary For Layton Richard Danielson

March 19th 1994-December 2nd 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Layton Danielson, at 28 years old. Though his time with us will never feel like enough, the memories we hold and the love we share is infinite.

Jodi Scammell (Danielson) and Lee Danielson welcomed Layton Danielson into the world on March 19th 1994 alongside his twin sister Desiree Siemens (Danielson), who was lovingly embraced by his older brother Nolan Danielson. Layton grew up with a love for life, and was known for his fun loving attitude and ability to make others laugh no matter the situation. He drew people towards him with his infectious laugh and kind spirit.

Layton went to Ridgevalley School where he made many lifelong friends. He was always up to something, whether it be quadding, hunting, jeeping or visiting around a fire. He loved living life to the fullest, and could turn a simple day into something worth remembering.

Layton spent most of his adult life working in the oilfield industry, but when he wasn’t away in camp he was with his family. Layton had a great love for his family, and felt great pride in his role as Uncle to his nieces and nephews. He never tired of being the ‘fun uncle’, and enjoyed spoiling them as much as he could.

He is survived by his mother Jodi (Trevor) Scammell, Grandpa Vern Danielson, grandparents Julie and Gerald Zenner, brother Nolan (Cass) Danielson, nephews Kaiden and James, sister Desiree (Ryan) Siemens, nieces Raina and Wrenley and nephew Dawson.

He was predeceased by his father Lee Danielson and grandma Pat Danielson. We find comfort in knowing that Layton and his Dad are at peace together and filling their days with hunting, fishing and ending their nights with a cold drink around the fire.

Jodi, Nolan, Desi and family. My heart breaks knowing how hard this is for all of you. When dad and I got to know Layton and Nolan, they made us laugh every day. When I thought they couldn't tell a better story than the one they just told us, they always had another. Layton had a great heart and will be missed by all.
