Obituary For Louise Elizabeth Braumberger
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Louise Braumberger, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Louise was born May 22, 1946 in Sexsmith, Alberta and grew up in the Teepee Creek area. She attended Smokey Heights school and then later the Teepee Creek School. She married Ernie Braumberger in July of 1964. Their children blessed the family, Devin in December of 1965 and Tracy in June of 1969. The family settled on the home quarter of the farm near Sexsmith in 1971 and created The Tower Creek Polled Hereford Farm. While managing, bookkeeping and some of the muscle of the farm, Louise drove a school bus for 42 years through her retirement in 2011. All the while, she usually had a second job at the Sexsmith Drug Store or ALCB. In 2005, the cattle were dispersed and Louise and Ernie sold the farm in 2014. Louise moved into The Shores in Grande Prairie and became an active board member of The Shores. Louise enjoyed travelling, setting up camp at music festivals and being with her family and many friends.
Left to mourn her passing are her son Devin (Donalda), daughter Tracy (Evan), loving grandchildren Samantha, Derryl-Lynn, Daylen (Kim), Jenna, great grandchildren Hayden, Christopher, Logan, Paige, Onyx and Artemis. Her sister Marion, in-laws Rose (Bill), Dale, Larry, Shirley, Ronnie (AnnaBelle), Candace as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Ernie Braumberger, parents Otto and Mary Eggers, sister Doreen (George) Parker, brother Melvin Eggers, in-laws Bruno and Alice Braumberger, Ray Braumberger, Danny Braumberger, Gary Braumberger, Dennis Braumberger and Chuck Milinkovic.
A celebration of Louise’s life will be held on Saturday September 24th, 2022 at 1pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home (11802 99 Avenue) in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
A big thank you to Grande Prairie Cancer Centre and Prairie Lake Hospice for the excellent care and compassion for Louise.
