Obituary For Mitchell Robert Liles-Blazicevic

In Loving Memory of Mitchell Robert Liles-Blazicevic
May 1, 1993 - August 9, 2023

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of our dear Mitchell, who left this world all too soon on August 9, 2023. He was 30 years old.

Born on May 1, 1993, Mitchell was a remarkable soul who filled our lives with laughter, love, and an unquenchable passion for the things he held dear. He had a spirit as vibrant as the fields he farmed, and as strong as the oilfield rigs he worked on.

Mitchell had a heart deeply rooted in the land. He possessed an unwavering love for farming, spending countless hours tending to the soil, nurturing life from seed to harvest, and raising bison. His connection to the land was a testament to his dedication and hard work, traits he approached with admirable commitment.

Beyond the farm, Mitchell found his second home in the oilfield. The energy and dynamism of the industry resonated with his spirit, and he poured his heart into every task, leaving an indelible mark on his colleagues and the projects he undertook.

But perhaps what truly set Mitchell apart was his remarkable ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. His infectious sense of humor and quick wit were gifts he freely shared, brightening even the darkest of days. His presence had a way of lifting spirits, reminding us all that life's most precious moments are often found in the simplest of laughs.

Mitchell was a beloved son, cherished brother, treasured nephew, and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, passion, and the kind of laughter that fills the heart with warmth and light.

Mitchell is survived by his father Mirko Blazicevic, sisters Bree-Ana Blazicevic, and Maureen (Owen) Liles-Blazicevic, grandparents Mike & Toni Ganey, aunts & uncles Carla (Pat) Percival, Wendy (Jeffrey) Liles, Cindy (Tom) Burrows, Jennifer (Jay) Leo, and Christine (Brian) Ganey Ellis, and by numerous cousins. His memory will also be carried on by the countless friends and all those fortunate enough to have shared in his company.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert Liles Jr., Mirko & Ana Blazicevic, and is joined by his mother Mickie Liles-Blazicevic, who tragically passed shortly after the loss of her son.

In light of current circumstances, the family has decided to postpone the celebration of Mitchell’s life. We will be announcing the details of the celebration of life at a later date. This event will provide an opportunity for friends and family to come together, share stories, and remember the wonderful person that Mitchell was.

Though we mourn the loss of a truly exceptional soul, let us remember Mitchell with smiles on our faces, for his legacy lives on in the fields he farmed, the oilfield rigs he worked on, and the laughter he shared.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mitch`s name to Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association.

It was my great pleasure to have been Mitchell's bus driver for a time. Mitchell seemed to be in a perpetually good mood. He was always trying to make people laugh...even his serious old bus driver. Lol The memory of Mitchell's warmth and sincerity will always bring a smile to my heart. 🌹 Judy Loewen
