Obituary For Norine Arlint (nee Penson)

December 14/1938 - July 7/2023

We are sad to announce that Norine Arlint has passed away at the age of 84 years after a short battle with cancer. Norine was born to Jack and Dorothy (Crerar) Penson. Norine grew up on the homestead in the Bridgecreek area and attended the Bridgecreek school. At the age of 2 1/2 years she was lost in the bush for 58 hours. Norine loved family and family gatherings. She also enjoyed having lots of company. She enjoyed picking berries & morels, travelling and visiting with her many friends. Norine came from a large family with 4 brothers Don, Les, Lyle, Charlie and 6 sisters Norma, Maddy, Jackie, Marlene, Gwen, and Sandra.

Norine met Jack Arlint and they were married on Dec 31/1955. They homesteaded and farmed land in the Grovedale area and raised a family of 5. Keith, Pat, Carol, Randy and Jamie.

Norine is survived by siblings Maddy Jebb, Charlie (Bernice) Penson, Jackie (Wayne) Connell, Marlene (Jim) Harper, Gwen (Dale) Smith, Sandra (Ivan) Tissington.

Norine was predeceased by her parents Jack and Dorothy Penson, brothers Don, Les, Lyle, Francis, sister Norma.

Norine is survived by her son Keith Arlint (Connie), daughter Pat (Larry) Rautenstrauch, daughter Carol (George) Grant, son Randy (Carmen) Arlint, son Jamie Arlint (Cheryl). Grandchildren Shannon Batyski (Riley), Jason Arlint (Amanda), Trudy Rigler, Tanya Saare(Kevin), Craig Rautenstrauch (Lenaya), Erin Rautenstrauch, Robby Grant (Michelle), Jennifer Bateman, Trevor Arlint, Leah Diachuk (Tarin), Tyler Arlint (Kelsey), Sierra Arlint, Amanda, Lisa Arlint. She is survived by great grandchildren Alicia, Faith, Zach, Mitchell, Cara, Kailey, Oliver, Tyson, Theodore, Rylan, Marek, Conner, Cloe, Tristen, Briella, Jocelyn, Blake, Keston, Tallis, Cadence, Hanna, Ashlyn.

Norine was predeceased by husband Jack Arlint, brother-in-laws Forrest Arlint, Joe MacDonald, Dick Steinke, Morris Jebb, sister-in-laws Shirley Arlint, Shirley Penson, Rose Penson, Josephine Penson, Willa Mae Arlint, daughter in law Cindy Arlint, son in law Ernie Rigler.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Grovedale Hall. Luncheon to follow.
