Obituary For Patricia (Pat) Ann Worobets

We are grieved to announce the passing of Patricia (Pat) Ann Worobets. Patricia passed after a battle with lung cancer at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 72 years.

Patricia was born in Sudbury Ontario to Georgina and Raymond Lesperance. As a girl, she loved the outdoors and spending time with animals. She was a loving and thoughtful woman, with a quick wit and a compassionate heart. Patricia worked most of her life, dedicating a large chunk of her career to the QEII Hospital, where she made lasting friendships that she brought with her into retirement. She was always busy with a home renovation, a new plant for her garden, or a new craft she wanted to try.

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Lesperance, Jennifer Williamson, and Jolene Ledoux (nee Williamson) and her husband Jeff; and her grandchildren Alexandra, Brantly, Chyanne, and Jenna.

She was predeceased by her grandparents Winifred and George MacLennan, and her parents Georgina and Raymond Lesperance.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date with details to follow.

For most of the time growing up, it was just us girls. Mom was always ready to pick up a tool or learn a new skill. She taught me how to change a tire, bake bread (I still knead it too much!), sew, budget, get a utility in my name, and all the other practical things a kid needs to know. Most importantly, she taught me kindness, wisdom, confidence, and humour will get me through just about anything. Even in the end, she was still more worried about the people around her than she was about herself. I love you so much and I wish you a peaceful rest Mom.
