Obituary For Purita Joaquin

August 28, 1982 – October 22, 2021

Purita Joaquin passed away peacefully in the morning of Friday, October 22, 2021, with the love of her family and friends surrounding her.

Purita was born in the Philippines to her loving parents Joseph and Melecia Macario. She was the only daughter of their family. Purita married Jimmeu Joaquin and they were granted three children, Japher, Zaryl and Joseph. She liked to call them Aper, Osha and Otep.

Purita graduated with a degree in nursing and started working in Hong Kong as a domestic helper. She then decided to come here, to Canada for the future of her family and worked as a nanny for Mr. Schmidt and Mrs .Derenden until she finally sponsored her family to join her.

She was loving, caring and friendly and everyone called her “ate pooh”. Everyone loved her laugh! She also loved to play guitar and sing. The affection she received from her parents are the same values and affection or better that she imbued to her children. With the live she had lived, she brought joy, laughter and lots of memories to all people that she met, family friends or acquaintances. Surely she will be dearly missed.

She has departed from us but has never left but gone ahead to become an angel to everyone.

Purita is survived by her husband, Jimmeu, children Japher, Zaryl and Joseph and her parents Melecia and Joseph Macario.

A private funeral will take place on Saturday November 20 at 1pm. Those wishing to watch online can do so by clicking the link provided.
