Obituary For Rene Arthur Ouellette

October 1, 1958 – November 18, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rene Ouellette announce his passing on November 18, 2023, at the age of 65 years.

Rene was born October 1, 1958, in McLennan, Alberta to parents Arthur and Yvonne Ouellette. In his lifetime he was a mechanic, who loved jumping into various projects, cars, and woodworking alike. He loved to laugh, joke around, come up with different ideas to make something work and to share all the cool new things he learned about places after researching them. He was also an avid outdoorsman that included anything from hiking, fishing, camping, and general exploring.

Rene is survived by his wife Margie, his three children and their spouses, Melissa Gouws (Stephen) of Calgary, Jonathan Ouellette (Krystine) of Clairmont, and Miranda Ouellette; and his six grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Julien Ouellette and his sister Lucienne Ouellette, as well as many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Rene was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Yvonne Ouellette and Sister Roseanne Zaiss.

A Celebration of Life and Gathering of Friends will take place during the summer of 2024.
