In Loving Memory of Robert Henry Simmons (Butch)

February 3, 1956 - August 25, 2023

Robert Henry Simmons, affectionately known as "Butch," passed away on August 25, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a deep zest for life. He was born on February 3, 1956, and throughout his 67 years, he touched the hearts of countless people with his warmth and genuine kindness.

Butch had a passion for adventure and the open road. He found solace and freedom on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a cherished companion on his life's journey. The wind in his hair and the roar of the engine brought him immeasurable joy and a sense of liberation that was truly unparalleled.

Butch's love extended beyond the open road; he had a profound affection for animals. His heart was as big as his smile when he was surrounded by his beloved dog (Missy), and his kindness towards all creatures was a testament to his gentle soul.

However, his greatest source of pride and accomplishment was his family. Butch devoted himself wholeheartedly to his children, nurturing and guiding them with unwavering love and support. He often spoke of them as his greatest achievement, and his legacy lives on in the values and principles he instilled in them.

Butch was a beacon of love and friendship to everyone he met. His caring nature and genuine concern for others made him a beloved friend, confidant, and mentor. He had an extraordinary ability to make people feel valued and appreciated, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honor of Butch's memory and the love he had for riding motorcycles, animals, and his family, the Butch Simmons Memorial Foundation will be established. This foundation will carry forward his legacy through charitable events and rides, embodying the spirit of generosity and compassion that defined his life. More details about the foundation will be provided in the near future.

Butch Simmons leaves behind a world forever changed by his presence, and his memory will continue to inspire kindness and goodwill in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Deepist Condolences to family and friends . I remember when our parent's and us kids used to go to visit,Butch's parents and family. In the place just north of Cortland here in Ontario. The first time I rode my motorcycle to mom's just down the road from Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Gerald in 1976. Butch riding on the back we partied to Ontario. Had a mishap with the the back fender due to riding with struts (no shocks. We left some gear in a culvert to lighten the load . I never asked if he looked, hickhiking back later that year. We camped out in Espanola and the dew was so thick, that with the northern lights it looked like dust falling to the ground. RIP Butch in the wind forever.
