Condolences to Charlotte and family We are so thankful for everything that Ron and Charlotte did for us. Ron reached out to Bob when he first moved to Fort Nelson, Bob was so appreciative of all that Ron did for him. The following spring my children and I moved there to be with Bob, we were there for only a few days and the first ones that we met was Ron and Brenda Shuffler, they came knocking at our door welcoming us to Fort Nelson, we became friends immediately. We met every Sunday for meeting at Ron and Charlotte's house, they were precious memories. One memory that stuck with me, was when we went to Fort Nelson for a visit with my parents who are from Newfoundland, Ron Welcome them with open arms and they stayed there for one night, Ron told them to make themselves at home and they did, they never forgot him and always talked very highly of him. We all Adored Ron he was a very dear friend and will be sadly missed. Bob and Linda Nichols

Dear Charlotte, you are my best friend from when we used to sit on the bottom step of the stairways when we were 3 years old in the union Sunday meeting at your house, my sister Margaret and you and I. We have sooo many SPECIAL memories of times together over the years. Even tho my marriage to Ross took me to Australia and yours to Ron to Ft Nelson, nothing could keep us apart. At this time, I really long to be there to help you through this difficult time but I know you can feel our love. Ron was always so kind and big-hearted towards us and now he has gone on ahead of us. May the God of all comfort be very close. Luv Ross and JoAnne XOXO

I am saddened to hear this news of Ron. I hope that these amazing memories give some comfort in knowing he will be forever missed and the lives he touched. My most fondest memory of Ron is when I was about 6 or 7 years old. Pam and myself were always playing and messing about. I'm sure Ron was working night shift. He would be wearing a blue house coat and come out of the bedroom. Me and Pam just knew, we did it this time. He never said much. He didnt have to. We would be promptly sent outside to play.

Words don't express our feelings and thoughts with Ron's recent passing. So many precious memories going back to the late 60's in Saskatoon when we chummed around together in the city and out of the city. It was extra special when Charlotte joined the scene and then for five years we lived across the street from them in Ft. Nelson. There couldn't have been better neighbours and Charlotte was the nurse for our three children all born at Ft. Nelson. Hunting, canoeing down the Muskwa and Prophet Rivers, wearing a hole in the bottom of the 18 foot freighter canoe and walking out to the highway to get repair materials, these are just a few of the memories. These natural memories are great but the very best memories and the things that mean everyone, is the Spiritual memories and the times we have been in meetings together. Our condolences to "ALL" the family.❤️ Garry and Helen Mcchesney

Ron was determined to find his birth family and he did just that 21 years ago.. Our Tysick families have enjoyed a most rewarding relationship from this big brother...He and I even disagreed on occasion, but one thing he was a strong shoulder when my son died...He found his place in our hearts and he is missed by us all..I know he is being embraced by the parents he only saw for a few days..These parents were too young to provide for him..They are meeting now in the heavens...I know they always yearned for him.. I am saddened at big brothers passing but I have so many treasured memories because of him..Love you Ron and give Mom, Dad and my Bo an embrace..my condolences 🙏 ☹️ Evelyn

Dear Charlotte and family. We have many special memories of Ron in our days in Saskatoon. I have a very special memory of Ron playing the organ with Bonnie, 6 years old sitting beside him on the bench and Marcia, 2 years old sitting on the other side listening to Ron play hymns! We often talk about the week he spent with us here in Powell River in 2009. Lovely memories. Our thoughts are with you these days. Doug and Alice

When I was a kid and seen a BC license plate on a suburban, it was not mistakenly, Uncle Ron and Auntie Charlotte and cousins! We understood that it was an adventure that they traveled a great distance to close the gap to come visit! Always got a kick out of hearing.... Oh Uncle Ron's on a fishing expedition!! All the adventures and expeditions a fella can go on, it's so great to know , roads always lead home. Traveling back from a toiling journey, with good memories, a heart feels pretty good when you can walk through a welcoming door, kick off your boot and rest awhile! So you beat us home Uncle...! Guess we have some touch ups to do ourselves on or journey, but hope to catch up soon! Hugs to you, Auntie and kid's. Merlin & Joanne Covlin Redder Alberta

Dear Charlotte and Family, Our thoughts and prayers have been with you these past weeks. So glad you were able to be with Ron as he finished the race. We have nice memories of our trip to Fort Nelson 2 years ago.... Sunday morning meeting at your home and a supper visit with you at Joyce and Bryan's were highlights. May you know the comfort of heaven in your hearts at this time and in the days ahead. With our sympathy and love, Lyle and Grace💕💕

Condolences to Charlotte and family on the loss of a really gentle man. Ron and his Tim Hortons friends had some great conversations and we'll miss his presence around the table. He could be a stubborn son of a gun but was always happy to help out and do a favour for someone. He will be missed.
