In Loving Memory Rose-Marie Sarah Sinclair November 13, 1936- October 26, 2022 Rose, 85, of Grande Prairie, AB passed away peacefully after a short battle with Cancer. She was born and raised on the family farm on Hinton Trail, South of Beaverlodge. She was raised with six siblings (Doreen, Karol, Betty, Tommy, Joanne and Jimmy). Cooking came naturally to her, one of her jobs was working at the Royal Cafe in Grande Prairie. This is where she also met Danny. In April of 1955 Danny and Rose got married. In 1956, Garry was born and a few years later in 1961 Christine made her world debut. Throughout the years Rose continued her love of cooking for people. She operated Roseโs Coffee Cup, and managed the kitchens at the Dunes golf course, Evergreen Park as well as the Curling Rink. After those endeavors she continued on with her catering business and after finally retiring she continue to cook as needed alongside Betty for the Chuckwagons. Some of her best memories involved Jasper, AB, it was a place she deeply loved. She spoke fondly of the sleigh rides at Finchโs, the chuckwagon races where she proudly cheered on Hughie and Mike and all the get togethers she had with family and friends throughout the years. Her other hobbies included gardening, travelling, and she always cherished a good glass of wine on any occasion. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She would get particularly giddy over getting to see her great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jordan (Ruby), Jeff, Amanda (Devon), Amelia, Hannah, Shea (Tim) and Ian (Jenn and family), as well as her great grandchildren Grayson, Harper, Mayumi. Her son in law Ray and Maureen (Will) as well as countless other family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Danny, son Garry, and daughter Christine. A celebration of Roseโs life will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 1pm at Faith Lutheran Church (9610 108 Avenue in Grande Prairie, Alberta). Her service will be livestreamed for those not able to attend in person (link found on the left as well as in the photos and videos section above). Following her service, family invites you to join them for refreshments and a time to share memories of Rose. Interment to follow at the Grande Prairie Cemetery where all in attendance are invited. My sincere condolences to the Sinclair and Metcalfe extended families. Rose was a kind, giving and sweet soul! When I was living and playing football with Garry in Saskatoon, Rose, Danny and Christine used to come down to visit and to see a football game. All the guys living in the house looked forward to seeing them because they were so much FUN! Rose would of course cook up a feast for the house (usually a Chinese theme), then they'd cheer on the Hilltops and later the Huskies and be the "life of the party" at the post game celebrations. We'd have a lot of laughs, dance to Rock'nRoll, and also enjoy Hank Snow (which Danny loved) and just party on! Rose and Dan epitomized the ideal of work hard but also play hard! They certainly enjoyed and loved life! Rest in Peace Rose! Enjoy laughing, dancing and being with Danny again!

Rose was one of those people that if she knew you, then that time spent with you stood the test of time.Rose became very good friends with my Mom,Shirley Johnson(Sutherland) and they had their babies together..watched them grow up together and whenever they got together.Mom amd Rose,it was like no time had passed and their love for one another just carried on with life, laughter and memories. Rose always treated me with the utmost of kindness.the last time I spoke to her was at my Mom's funeral and she just smiled at me,gave me a hug and reassured us all that Mom was in a better place. Thank you Rose for always being such a bright light in other's lives. RIP Rose, you will be missed.

Was so thankful that you live streamed Rose's service. In my younger days, she and Danny took us under their wing as Chris was one of my dearest friends. We had no family here. Listening to Wilf Carter, watching the memories on the slide show and listening to amazing Amanda....such a perfect tribute for an amazing woman! Love and thoughts are with you all...it's been a brutle few months๐๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐

Thinking of Rose & all her family today as you celebrate her life. Rose was always a woman I looked up to & aspired to be, her love for family, caring heart & hard work, mixed with fun, ethic. She was always positive, even though life was not always easy. I can't be there today, so my condolences to all the family she loved so much.

I first met Rose in 1962 when I went to work in Stephen's bush camp and Sawmill. Rose was camp cook (chef) and Danny was a catskinner. She cooked plain but superb meals, and there was never a complaint considering the motley crew she had to feed. On warm sunny days in camp, she was always game for a good snowball fight, where she utilized her wicked aim. Over the years since camp days, we often encountered Rose at events where she prepared a feast. Our chance encounters uptown were always good for a visit. May there be peace and rest for a wonderful lady. Our thoughts and condolences to the Sinclair and Metcalfe families. Don and Diane Budesheim

I am so sad to hear of Roses passing. She was such a sweet lady and always up for fun and laughter. My most cherished memory of Rose is when we flew to Inuvik and Tuk for a visit as it was on her bucket list !!! We got there for summer solstice and a full day of celebration and dancing and Rose enjoyed every minute of it. Such a gentle soul. My condolences go out to the whole family.

Rose was such an icon in Grande Prairie. Her smile, her generous spirit, her enthusiasm for life, and her love for fellow beings. She was always willing to share time and a few stories with anyone. What a great role model, and she will be greatly missed. Rose catered our wedding in 1982, and she never forgot us, and we won't forget her! George & Diana Krahn
