Obituary For Sheldon Otto Hanson

September 14, 1960 - June 19, 2022

In loving memory of Sheldon Otto Hanson who passed away on Sunday June 19, 2022.

Sheldon was born on September 14, 1960 in Beaverlodge. AB and spent his early years helping his parents with their Auto Wrecker and Gas Station business. He always had a love of mechanics and became one of the best heavy duty gear men around. Racing motocross bikes and driving his river boat showed his love for adventure. Sheldon loved the outdoors camping, hunting, fishing, & quadding were his favorite past times. He also had very much love for his dogs.

Sheldon will be greatly missed by his two sons, Leon (Chrissy), Chris (Keliann) and his grandchildren Kole, Taylor, Ashley, Sarah, and Trias. Also, his siblings Mike, Shane, David, and Kerri, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Sheldon was predeceased by his parents, father Otto Hanson and mother Donna (Brush) Hanson, and grandmothers Eva Hanson & Barbara Brush.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at The Prairie Lake Hospice for their kindness and unconditional love.

No service by request. A celebration of life for close friends and family will be scheduled at a later date.

He will be greatly missed but nothing loved is ever lost. No one who has ever touched a heart can really pass away because their memories remain and live on. We all love you Sheldon!

My thoughts are with your family at this time . I had the pleasure of meeting Sheldon 41 years ago when he was a very persistant young man who I interviewed as a entry level mechanic . He cam back and seen me almost every day until I gave him a chance . I became so glad that he became a part of our team . Sheldon was the hardest working most mechanicly inclined person I have had the pleasure of working with . I must say he went from entry level technician to being a Gear expert and exceptional truck mechanic in a few short years. I must also say Sheldon became a very good friend . Rest in Peace Sheldon Greg McAllister
