Obituary For Tyrel wâpiski kîhiw Curtis Belcourt

September 17, 1981 - March 5, 2023

With broken hearts, we have to say farewell to our son, father, brother, uncle, and uncle/papa. Tyrel Curtis Belcourt passed away suddenly at the age of 41 on March 5, 2023, in Kelly Lake, BC.

Born on September 17, 1981, in Grande Prairie, AB, Tyrel loved to hunt, be a mechanic, and live life to the fullest. He did things his own way and did not apologize for it. Tyrel was loved by his family and many close friends.

He worked many positions that took him many places but always came home to Kelly Lake. This was his home, and you could always find him working on vehicles or tinkering to keep himself busy.

Ty had a brilliant smile and contagious laugh and had the ability to charm his way out of many situations.

He swore like you wouldn’t believe and was very generous and was willing to help anyone.

Tyrel is survived by his parents Curtis and Barb, his son's Rygel, Talon, Gunner and Daven, sisters Shannon (Ken), Angela (Henry), and Andrea (Tim), his nieces and nephews Tutchone, Koda, Reign, Skye (Brendon), Summer, Korbyn (Kaylee), Kilyn and Faryn, grandchildren Kenzie, Brysen, Samuel, Kersley as well many aunts, uncles and friends.

Tyrel leaves us to join his paternal grandparents Leonard and Florence Belcourt, maternal grandparents Riley and Lydia Whitford as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 18, 2023, at Bear Creek Funeral Home, 11802 99 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB. There will be a viewing at 6:00 pm, followed by the service at 7:00pm with a luncheon and fellowship to follow.

I'll always remember Tyrel, his smile almost bigger than his face, riding the ponies out at the farm. Fearless, joyful and brimming with mischief. May his soul be at peace.
