Obituary For Veronique Marie Menard

March 1, 1934 – July 12, 2023

In loving memory of our mother, Veronique Menard, who departed peacefully from this world at the age of 89 years on July 12, 2023, with her son by her side.

Veronique lived a life filled with grace, warmth, and unwavering love, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever be etched in our souls.

A woman of many passions, Veronique found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had an insatiable curiosity, and her eyes would light up with delight as she solved intricate puzzles that challenged her sharp mind. The world of literature held a special place in her heart, and she found solace and inspiration in the pages of countless books she devoured throughout her life. Many were touched by the stories she shared, and her enthusiasm for reading was infectious.

One of her greatest gifts was her talent for crocheting, which she lovingly used to create intricate works of art, each stitch woven with care and love. Her handcrafted masterpieces became treasured heirlooms, symbolizing the love and warmth she bestowed upon her family and friends.

Veronique is survived by her 6 children: Pierre (Maria), Francine (Paul), Michel (Trudy), Louise (Brian), Claude (Donna) and Dianne (Brent). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral will be held on July 12, 2024, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church. A time has yet to be confirmed. More information will be available later.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Hall in Grande Cache, AB, on July 12, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Veronique’s name to the Epilepsy Foundation, or the Grande Prairie Cancer Centre.

I had the pleasure knowing Veronique through her family. She was a kind and soft spoken lady who dearly loved her husband and children. She always had a smile and a sparkle in her eye, that indicated the love she had for her family. She will be sadly missed, but will be welcomed by family that has predeceased her. RIP!
