April 26, 1959 – October 24, 2023

With broken hearts the family of Wade McLeod announce his peaceful passing at the age of 64 on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

Wade was born on April 26, 1959, in Grande Prairie, Alberta, to Rody and Carolyn McLeod. He was the oldest and only boy of 4 children. He grew up in Teepee Creek where he made a lifetime of memories, starting from school to raising his baby girl.

Wade met the love of his life, Theresa Baldry in 1983 and they were married on November 1, 1986, and made their home in Teepee creek. They enjoyed many years of farming, and raising a few cows. Wade was employed in the oilfield for 42 years. They welcomed their precious baby girl, Cassidy Dawn McLeod on July 1st, 1996. She was his everything.

Wade is survived by his wife Theresa, of 37 years, his daughter Cassidy (Cody Moen), and the little light of his life, his granddaughter Rose. He is also survived by his mother Carolyn, sisters Marylyn, Ellie (Stu), Bobbie (Calvin) and their families, his mother-in-law Teddy, sister-in-law Mabel (Doug), brother-in-law Charlie (Jenn) and their families, and many extended family and friends.

Wade was predeceased by his father Rody McLeod, and his father-in-law Ken Baldry.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital and the Grande Prairie Palliative Care Society. Their dedication and efforts to provide quality care were heartwarming to the entire family.

A Memorial Service for Wade will be held on November 3rd at 1:00 pm at the Sexsmith Civic Centre, 99 Avenue, Sexsmith, AB, T0H 3C0.
